The Graduate Certificate in E-Learning (online)
represents a response to increased interest toward e-learning design and
teaching competencies in K-12, post secondary, government and
corporate sectors. The program is designed to prepare graduates with the
knowledge and skills necessary to assume roles in integrating e-learning into
the curriculum or teaching entirely online. All certificate courses are offered
online and students are required to select a focus area of either K-12 or adult
education.
Admissions:
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
(1) graduate of an accredited four year college and have a GPA of at
least 3.0 on a four-point scale in their last 60 credit hours of undergraduate
study; (2) degree student in good standing in an NC State graduate program; or
(3) have a Master’s degree.
Requirements: The Graduate Certificate in E-Learning requires a
minimum of 15 hours, including 12 hours of core courses and 3 hours of
electives. Students must maintain a
minimum overall GPA of B (3.0).
Other Information: The program is offered jointly by the Department of
Adult and Higher Education and the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
